Founded in 2020 as the Bond County Employment Support Group, SMARTworks connects people to the knowledge and resources they need for job search, work readiness, career management, workforce development, and leadership development. Because of the pandemic, SMARTworks will offer both in-person and online attendance options through May 2021 and possibly beyond. Registration to attend events in person is encouraged but not required. Online attenders must provide an email address to receive a copy of the Zoom link. In an historic, three-story building on Greenville’s downtown courthouse square, the SMART Center provides more than 10,000 square feet of innovative space designed to help entrepreneurs, Greenville University students, and community members work together to revitalize the local economy. Members of the SMART Center make use of shared or semi-private office space equipped with the latest technology and enjoy amenities such as mail service, unlimited water and coffee, printer, copier, high-speed fiber optic internet connection, and conference rooms with teleconference capabilities. Other features include a podcast studio, event space, and a state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen.
